Lucy Lawless Joins NO ORDINARY FAMILY

Spartacus and Xena: Warrior Princess star Lucy Lawless will be joining the cast of NO ORDINARY FAMILY in a recurring role, lasting at least five episodes! TVLine.com sources confirm that “Lawless will play a powerful woman and potential adversary for the Powell clan whose agenda could put the family in danger.” Lawless’ story line will continue through the end of the season.

After completing her stint on No Ordinary Family, Lawless will go to New Zealand and start shooting Starz’ Spartacus: Blood and Sand with new lead Liam McIntyre. She can currently be seen in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.

ABC’s No Ordinary Family airs on Tuesdays at 8pm.

Off the record: With all the “hit and run” guest stars on No Ordinary Family, it will be nice to have one stick around for a little while. So far Rebecca Mader has been the only guest star to be on more than one episode. She is still due to make a third appearance, too! Lucy Lawless certainly has the fan following to boost ratings for No Ordinary Family, but are the chaste and bloodless scenes of a family friendly show really going to entice viewers who prefer the sex and gore of Spartacus: Blood and Sand (or even those who prefer the scantily dressed Xena)?
